Wild rice

From Burden's Landing

Add 1 cup wild rice to 2.5 cups boiling water, salted to taste. Return to boil, stir, reduce heat, and simmer covered for about 20 minutes or just until kernels puff open. Uncover, fluff, simmer uncovered for another 5 minutes. Drain excess liquid. Yields 3-4 cups wild rice.

I like to mix with sauteed vegetables, dried fruit, maybe some chopped nuts.
