Arcata
From Burden's Landing
City on the northern end of the California coast, just north of Eureka and south of Crescent City, about an hour south of the Oregon border.
Home of Humboldt State University, which makes Arcata a university town, and a really pleasant one at that. Has a beautiful town square with lots of good places to eat.
The second Friday of every month is Arts! Arcata.
To Eat
Farmers Market on Saturday mornings. Other than the oyster lady, I wasn't enamored by the prepared food options, but the stands themselves are awesome.
SALT Fish House — outstanding seafood restaurant. Ate here on August 12, 2018 on the tail end of my Oregon Coast road trip with Eun-Joung.
