Centrally located to many of the attractions in southwestern South Dakota, including Mount Rushmore and Badlands National Park.
Downtown
- The Rapid City Presidents. Bronze statues of every president on the street corners.

Rapid City has surprisingly decent places to eat.
- Everest Cuisine and Kathmandu Bistro (downtown) are sister Nepalese restaurants. Both are good.
- Pacific Rim Cafe. Technically a Vietnamese restaurant, but sells other Asian and western dishes. Ah, South Dakota.
- The Gyro Hub
- Independent Ale House. Personal pizzas and an extensive beer list
