Romaine recommended 42nd Street Oyster Bar.
I had delicious North Carolina-style 'cue and hush puppies at Ole Time Barbecue on November 10, 2006. (See my Yelp review.)

If you're willing to travel a few hours for good 'cue, Will Sall recommended Hursey's in Graham, which is supposedly legendary. He also recommended Allen & Son, which is between Chapel Hill and Durham.
During the day, we got catering from Irregardless Cafe in Raleigh. Great organic, local food, including the best sweet potato salad I've ever had. And I don't like sweet potatoes.
