Pomegranate

For deseeding pomegranates, see J. Kenji Lopez-Alt's video. The instructions amount to:

  • Quarter the pomegranate
  • Place in a bowl of cold water
  • Deseed in the bowl. The seeds will sink to the bottom, and the pith will float to the top
  • Scoop out the pith using a wire strainer, then pour out the water
