Recipe
Adapted from all of the recipes below.
Ingredients
- 1 cup dried chickpeas
- Equal parts garlic (~2 cloves) and ginger
- 2-3 tbsp chole masala (see below)
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tbsp coriander
- 1 tbsp red chile
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1/4 tsp garam masala
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- Chopped tomato
- Chopped green chiles
- Chopped cilantro
- Salt
- Oil
To experiment:
- Pinch of asafetida
- 2 tsp mango powder
- 1 tablespoon gram flour (Besan)
- 1 large tomato
- Curry leaves
Chole Masala
- Bay leaf
